Poker Outs and Odds

You will often find yourself in situations, where you do not have any good hand at that moment but it will improve to the best hand if some cards are dealt on the turn or river.

Poker outs

Outs are cards that will improve your hand to the best hand on later streets. For example, if your hole cards are AK on QJ6 flop, you have 1 out to a straight flush, 8 outs to a flush, 3 outs to a straight, and 6 outs to a top pair, giving you 18 outs in total.
